Modular Linear Actuator Selector
Modular Systems
Configuring a modular actuator system can seem overwhelming. However, when done correctly can be easily sized and configured. This modular selector will ask specific questions to narrow down the model selection.
It is best to look at each axis separately starting with the Z-axis first, then the Y-axis, and finally the X-axis.
Single or Multi System

Select the desired axis.
Typically, the Vertical axis with the carriage mounted to the Y axis and the extrusion moving vertically.
Typically, the horizontal axis with moving side-to-side.
Typically, the horizontal axis with moving back-and-forth.
Load Direction
Enter the values to calculate the forces and moments.

Drive Options
Select the desired drive option.
Linear Screws are aviable in either Ball Screws or Acme Screws. Ball screws can have a repeatability of ± 0.025mm. Acme Screws can be considered self-locking. Screws are subject to critial speed and limited to 3000mm in length.
Belt Drives are available in standard length of 6000mm. Longer lengths available upon request. Linear speeds can be as high as 10m/sec, with a repeatability of ± .0.1mm
Rack & Pinion can accommodate long travels, with joints above 6000mm. Repeatability of ± .0.2mm.
Carriage Options
Select the desired carriage option.
Standard single carriage.
Dual carriages can be either opposing direction or independently driven.
Wrap-Around carriages can be used to increase life capacity or for better mounting arrangements.
Dual carriages can also come in a Wrap-Around carriage style.
